Can I get my BioMeasure ticket explained?

Your BioMeasure ticket shows

  1. Weight: The BioMeasure Machine accurately measures your weight in increments of 0.2 lbs. and does not compensate for shoes and clothing.  We recommend removing heavy items before stepping onto the platform.  Individuals must remain still during the weight measurement procedure.
  2. Height: The BioMeasure Machine accurately measures your height with an ultrasound sensor in increments of 0.2” Any object on the head, hats, etc. will affect the height reading. Individuals must remain still during the height measurement procedure.
  3. Body Mass Index (BMI): A measure of body weight in relation to height, commonly considered an accurate method of assessing individual health status.

  1. BMI Calculations/Recommendations: Incorporates printed formula for calculation -BMI ranges are based on the National Institutes of Health and World Health Organization standards.

  1. The Ideal Weight: The National Institutes of Health and the World Health Organization have determined this weight range in relation to a healthy Body Mass Index.

  1. Body Fat Percentage: The percentage of body fat measured by Bioelectric Impedance Analysis. Hydration status will adversely raise/lower percentage readings.
  2. Fat Mass: Total fat measured by Bioelectric Impedance Analysis. To obtain lean muscle mass deduct fat mass in lbs. from overall weight.
  3. Age and Gender: Provides the first (2) variables of information for fat percentage recommendations.

  1. Body Fat Range and Recommendations:generalization of fat percentage. If user input of individual variables are correct (i.e. age/gender) – then please refer to “Rating System” on front face of BioMeasure for assessing current body fat %.
